Abbott X Locality Okeetee Corn Snake:

Price: $40

These are the ideal wild type corn snakes, nothing special genetically except they are the prettiest of the corns you could ever hope to find in the wilds of South Carolina. The region around Jasper county S.C. has been hunted for years for these gorgeous animals and they have been bred for generations for the best of the best in captivity to make it easy on us the snake keepers to have one of these coveted beauties. I have bred locality stock for a few years and now have added Lee Abbott’s amazing line to an already great line in hopes of even better animals. These are one of my favorite animals to raise because they get prettier with each shed.

Hypo-Glades:

The Hypo-Everglades rat snake is something I have wanted since I saw a picture of one in Corn Snakes And Other Ratsnakes by Dick Bartlett (a great book). I notice that the name Bill Love seemed to be under nearly all the pictures in the book and being a novice at the time (probably still by some accounts) I began a search for the man behind the name hoping to find my snake. What I found was a wonderfully helpful Kathy Love ,not to say Bill isn’t helpful but he lets Kathy answer the phone, and yes my snakes. These are beautiful red-orange snakes that if allowed, love to climb and make wonderful display and handling animals. I suggest an arboreal setup to take advantage of the beauty of the animals. Even as babies they are pretty but they give no indication of what they will become for about four to six months when they start to take on a nice orange hue. Mine have not lost the juvenile saddles which are barely visible in the background but this makes for a better contrast than would the lines one would expect. In all the phone calls I have made to Kathy Love about trying to get her stock when she sold them off I made her remember my name, so all the calls she gets on Everglades now she forwards to me. This has made selling off my off spring very easy, so if after viewing pics of these you want some try to place a pre-order to insure your spot in line. If you find my site without the help of the Loves check theirs out at www.Corn Utopia.com

Everglades Rat Snakes:

Price: $40

These are killer red-orange animals that are darker orange than the hypos and still have the lines down the backs of the adult animals. The lines are paler than those found on your average yellow rat and the eyes are usually red as well as the tongue. Red eyes and tongue are not as reliable of a indicator of glades lineage as some might have you believe. It does occur outside true glades stock as well as not showing up in all of the glades stock bred year to year, but it does usually show up in the animals I breed. If you are concerned with this secondary trait let me know when you place your order and I will try to set aside animals accordingly. Please realize that trying to look at the flickering tongue of a baby snake for red is not easy so if you request a red tongue and don’t get it I ‘m sorry, but your animal will still be pretty even with a black tongue.

Sinaloan Milk Snakes:

Price: $40

These are beautiful tri-color animals that don’t get all the dirty over wash of black as they age like a lot of other tri-colors. The babies are easier to calm down than other milk snake babies and rarely resort to biting. The babies do musk some but the musk is not all that offensive smelling and they quickly stop musking at all after some gentle handling sessions. The relatively few problems of the babies pay off in the gentleness and beauty of the adults. The average of three and half to four feet of the adults is also nice for a milk snake.

Honduran Milk Snakes

These are truly interesting and exciting snakes to breed, with all the variation occurring in the wild type variants and in the tangerine variants and the possibility of hatching a unique animal of either type or some new morph still undiscovered you just have to be excited at every hatching of every egg.

Tangerine Hondos: These are gorgeous hatchlings that develop varying amounts of black over-wash as they get older. The average size of these and all hondos is about five feet with some rumored at seven. That is an impressive animal that will eat all the food you want to feed. Like the Sinaloan and most other milk snakes the crazy young usually calm to nice quiet snakes, though I have a couple that have never calmed. I have purchased some of Terry Dunham’s albino tangerine stock.

Tri-Color Hondos: Now here we have the hondo that if you don’t have a morph, you have a big milk snake with a great appetite that is not that pretty on average, though some are quite attractive. I have one that has so much melanin on the white bands that they are mostly black leaving a mostly red and black animal that is really nice looking. This is another line that I bought some of from Terry Dunham for albino, hypo, anery, and snow and some anerys were also purchased from Mike Falcon who keeps telling me he can fish (Sebastian Inlet is waiting Mike) You can bet those will be some exciting hatch out

Grey Banded King Snake:

Price: $75

Grey bands are interesting in that some people like the Blair's phase and some the Alterna while still some like both. The Blair's phase are my favorite and what I breed currently but the Alterna phase has had some appeal in the last few years and may seduce me in to getting some stock going in the near future. The Blair's phase that I breed now were chosen out of John Schmidt's stock at the painful expense of about an hour and a half of picking through to find the lightest ground color and the richest orange saddles I could find out of about one hundred animals. The result is a animal that I make sure everyone that comes to my place sees. This animal is paired with a male from Mark Bell that was the nicest of the thirty or so animals he had at the time. These animals, for those who never raised them, are sweet, gentle, beautiful animals that only have one draw back I can see, they musk as babies, but only to a few months old at best. Personally, I have never been bitten or seen one bite that was captive born and raised. When it comes to beauty I think my brother-in-law said it best when he first saw my original pair. "Are those things real. Holy S**t they are gorgeous they look fake!!!". That from a non herper who doesn't really like snakes says a lot. Pictures say a lot too and they also give me a chance to slickly show off some cages my buddy Peter painted for me (Actually he painted them for himself then gave them to me!) what a pal. The babies I produce have a list of how many pinks they have eaten. Since they are known for being tricky feeders this should help ease your mind. Just ask about the animals you like and I will let you know. This line (John Schmidt) is known for being good feeders right out of the egg.

Eastern King Snakes:

Price: $40

This snake was much more popular before the California King had the albino trait show up, since then this snake has been all but forgotten. With the albino trait showing up in the eastern now this snake may be on the rise in popularity again and for those of us that really love this serpent it will be no big surprise why. These snakes grow big, grow quick, and will eat anything that you put in front of them including other cage mates. They need their own cage, some gentle handling and room to grow. These guys can get six to seven feet and deserve space to move around and stretch to their full length. I'm a person that likes red or orange in my snake as you can tell by my list of animals but these things are a great reason for black and white in my collection. They are bad-ass animals to keep being one of the more interactive snakes out there. Granted the interest in my presence is just a hunger response but they are always hungry and always seem interested. If you want a active snake this is it. The one common problem with eastern kings in captivity is over feeding because they always look hungry and almost always eat if given the chance. When you get one or a pair resist the urge to feed more than once a week and enjoy the attention your eastern gives you when you enter the room.

Blotched King (Goini):

A geographically isolated subspecies of the getula basically, that has lots more yellow than white usually. Mine are the striped phase. My female has mostly yellow sides with a black stripe down the dorsal line while my male has black sides with a yellow stripe. This might combine for pattern less or maybe just striped individuals that are just like the parents. Both parents are sweet looking so either way it will be nice. These are just as aggressive feeders as the eastern and will grow as fast.
